Its jurisdiction covers the five districts – Amaravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldhana and Washim. It has about 21 postgraduate departments offering different educational programs. The university offers postgraduate and advanced education in computer, biotechnology, business management and law and degree courses in chemical technology.
