Amaravati




Amaravati, literally meaning ‘abode of immortals’, is highly associated with Lord Krishna. It is the headquarters of Amaravati District in Maharashtra. Amaravati rests in the Tapi basin with only some of its parts on the eastern border lying in the valley of Wardha. Gugmal National Park is the nearby attraction. This city is also famous for its Ambadevi Temple.

Nearest airport is at Nagpur and the nearest railway station is Amaravati Railway Station. Amaravati bus station is the nearest bus station.
