Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary




Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary is about 80 km from Vijayawada and lies in Krishna and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh. Spread over an area of 196 sq km, Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the estuary of Krishna River and is covered by mangrove forests. It is home for fishing cat, otter, jackal, estuarine crocodile and various local and migratory birds.

October to February is the best time to visit. Tourists can stay in the forest rest house at Vijayawada and Repalle of Guntur District.

The nearest airstrip and railway station are at Vijayawada.
