Niwari




Niwari is the headquarters town of the taluk bearing the same name, in Tikamgarh District of Madhya Pradesh. It is situated on the Tikamgarh-Jhansi road, about 80 km north-west of Tikamgarh.

Places of tourist interest are Khedapati Hanumanji Temple and Kudar. The town once has a small fort, which was demolished by the Marathas.

Niwari is on the Jhansi-Manikpur section of the Central Railways. Frequent buses connect this town with Tikamgarh, Prithvipur and Jatara.
