Tosamaidan

Tosamaidan, surrounded by dense forests, is a famous pasture in the mountains of Himalayan ranges. It is about 10 km from Khag in Badgam District of Jammu and Kashmir.

Spread over an area of 10 sq km, this beautiful land has a historical background. In ancient times shepherds from other countries visited this meadow. The Mughals took this route for traveling to Poonch and constructed a seven-storied building here, known as the Dam Dam.

During summer, the grazing of sheep here is a riveting look to tourists. The aroma of wild flowers also refreshes the whole environment.

Tosamaidan Lake is a prime attraction here. Drang, Zakhora, Pehjan and Nakwaer Pal constitute enchanting excursions.
