Tosamaidan, surrounded by dense forests, is a famous pasture in the mountains of Himalayan ranges
. It is about 10 km from Khag in Badgam District
of Jammu and Kashmir
Spread over an area of 10 sq km, this beautiful land has a historical background. In ancient times shepherds from other countries visited this meadow. The Mughals took this route for traveling to Poonch and constructed a seven-storied building here, known as the Dam Dam.
During summer, the grazing of sheep here is a riveting look to tourists. The aroma of wild flowers also refreshes the whole environment.
Tosamaidan Lake is a prime attraction here. Drang, Zakhora,
Pehjan and Nakwaer Pal constitute enchanting excursions.
