Badgam




Badgam, the seat of administration of Badgam District, is a charming town located in the Kashmir valley, to the west of Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir. The topography of the region is a mix of hilly terrains and plains. Badgam is a major center of agriculture trade in the district.

Places of tourist interest include Yousmarg, Nilnag, Sang-e-Safed, Tosamaidan, tomb of Zia-Ud-Din Bukhari, shrine of Syed Mohammad Samri and Imambara Badgam.

Nearest airstrip is the Srinagar airport. Buses connect Badgam with Srinagar, Sopore, Uri and Baramulla.
