Tipi Orchid Research Center

Asia's largest Orchid Research Center is at Tipi, in West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. Located on the banks of the river Bharali, it is amid an evergreen forest, sporting a collection of more than 7500 species of orchids. Among the species are the Lady's Slipper and Dendrobium. The Orchid Research Center creates new, hybrid species using the latest techniques of bio technology.
