Tipi




Tipi is an enchanting dwelling located on the banks of the Kameng River, near Bhalukpong. This region, at an altitude of 190 m, is famous for its orchids, more than 7500 species. Another Orchid park is there at Sessa, about 40 km from Tipi. Tipi is also famous for rafting and angling on the river Kameng. The river is rich in Mahseer fish, which is found in the Jia Bharali river that branches off from the Kameng river.

Buses from Bomdila, the headquarters of West Kameng District and Bhalukpong, the entry point 3 km from Tipi, take tourists to this place. Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary can be reached by crossing the Kameng river.

Tezpur Airport (52 km) is the nearest airport. Rangapara North Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
