Vrindavan Research Institute Museum



Vrindavan Research Institute Museum is housed inside the Vrindavan Research Institute situated at Raman Reti, 15 km from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The museum displays manuscripts and artifacts especially from the Braj area.

Manuscripts in different languages, paintings of different periods and a good collection of coins, sculptures and miniatures are displayed. The museum aims to preserve the cultural heritage of Braj through different ways such as microfilming, conservation of manuscripts and documentation.

The museum has a library which holds a large collection of manuscripts in Sanskrit, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, Gujarati, Urdu and Punjabi languages. Vrindavan Research Institute Museum is open from 07:00 to 13:00 hrs during April to June and from August to March it works between 10:00 and 17:00 hrs. It remains closed on Mondays and on second Saturdays.
