Hindi




Hindi is the national language of India. It comes second in the world in the number of speakers. It is estimated that there are about 500 million users of Hindi around the world. Most of the states in northern and central India have Hindi as their mother tongue. Hindi evolved from Indo-Aryan Prakrit languages of the middle ages. Hindi and Urdu are together known as Hindustani language and considered sister tongues. Hindi has several regional varieties depending on the area it is used. Hindi language used the script called Devanagari.
