Vetha-Vatur, also called Vitastatru, is a pilgrim spot located in
Anantnag District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is the fountainhead of Vitasta River. It is about 2 km to the west of
Verinag Spring, which is 26 km from
Anantnag. Every year, the pilgrimage to this holy place is usually held on the 13th day of the dark half of the Bhadra month (August-September).
Vetha-Vatur can be approached through the link road, which turns off, from the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Lower Munda.
