Bus services linking Tuticorin with most of the cities inside and outside the district are operated from the Old Bus Stand. Long route services are available from the New Bus Stand.

Hotel Jony International offers good accommodation near the bus station. The first Catholic church (called the Snow Church), the Trinity Church near the old harbour, St Patricks Church, Sacred Heart Cathedral, St Peters Church and Shanmugapuram are worth visiting.
