Tinsukia



Tinsukia is the administrative headquarters of Tinsukia District in Assam. It is a prominent commercial and industrial center of Upper Assam, where the Tea Industry of Assam is heavily concentrated. Situated on midway between Dibrugarh and Digboi, Tinsukia is 47 km east of Dibrugarh.

Major tourist attraction here is the Dibru-Saikhowa National Park (13 km north of the town).

Dibrugarh Airport is about 40 km from Tinsukia. Tinsukia is an important railway junction under the North East Frontier Railways. By road, Tinsukia is linked with Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kaziranga and Sibsagar.
