Tenmalai Railway Station, also spelt Thenmala Railway Station, is about 10 km from Kulathuppuzha, famous for Kulathuppuzha Sastha Temple. The station falls on the meter gauge railway line that connects Kollam with Sengottai.
Kollam-Tirunelveli Passenger and Kollam-Sengottai Passenger are the main train connections. Kollam Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.
