Sri Kapileswaraswami Temple

Sri Kapileswaraswami Temple is 3 km north of Tirupati, at the foot of the Tirumala Hill in Chittoor District. Among all the Vaishnavite temples in Tirupati, it is the only temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. A sacred waterfall called Kapila Theertham or Alwar Theertham is also located here. The temple organizes annual Brahmotsavam and festivals such as Vinayaka Chaturthi, Shivratri, Skanda Shashti and Annabhishekam (abhishek with cooked rice).
