Pidmu is bounded by Rulagung in the west, Zangla in the east and Kursha Gompa in the south. It is a base camp for trekkers in the summer for the Padum - Lamayuru and the Padum - Hemis treks. Zangla Monastery is situated 6 km away.

Pidmu can be approached from Karsha by trek.
