| Tamil NaduPasupateeswarar-Aavoorudaiyar Temple
Pasupateeswarar-Aavoorudaiyar Temple is a Shivasthalam located at Govindakudi near Darasuram in Thanjavur District. This maadakkovil was built by Kochenkann Cholan. Occuping an area of one acre, the temple is adorned with a five tiered rajagopuram. Inscriptions from the period of Rajendra Chola III are preserved here. The temple teertham is Kamadhenu Theertham. Saint Sambandar is said to have glorified the temple through his pathigams.
