Mukkudi Nivedyam




Mukkudi Nivedyam is a Naivedyam offered to deities in certain temples. It is made from ayurvedic herbs mixed with buttermilk in a special ratio. Mukkudi Nivedyam is later distributed among the devotees present on that occasion. This divine medicine is believed to be a curative for all kinds of abdominal problems. Some of the prominent temples which offer Mukkudi Nivedyam are the Vaikom Mahadevar Temple, Dhanwanthari Temple at Nelluvai and Irinjalakuda Koodalmanikyam temple.
