Kadhamba Temple

The Kadhamba Temple is situated near Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu, about 4 km from Sri Rangam Railway station.

This temple contains shrines dedicated to the Hindu trinity, Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. These deities are collectively known as ‘mum murthy’ (three deities). The name of the temple, kadhamba, is derived from the word ‘kadhambam’ which means mixture of things.

The Nagalinga flower, a rare flower, is found locally and offered for worship in this temple. It is believed that by offering the Nagalinga flower, all problems one faces in life are eradicated.
