Gyumed Tantric University contains sacred books brought from Tibet. Apart from Tantric Buddhism, this school trains the monks in the art of Butter Sculpturing. This art, nearly 400 years old, was originally practiced in Tibet. In India, due to the tropical climate, ghee mixed with wax is used instead of butter. A typical sculpture involves six monks and takes a month for making it.
