Lying on the south-eastern part of Leh District, Gangra is a small settlement in Jammu and Kashmir. It is at a high altitude of about 15,925 ft above sea level.
Gangra is flanked by Nior Nis in its west and Chushul in its east. The northern and southern parts are hemmed by Kiagi and Chumatang respectively. The region offers many short treks and hikes to upland villages.
Gangra is accessible from Mahe, which is 19 km away.
