Mahe is a beautiful hamlet located in Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at about 13,664 ft above sea level, it is roughly 18 km away from Chumatang. It is a major camping base for trekkers and mountaineers. Tso Morari Lake, one of the largest lakes in the Ladakh region, is a nearby attraction.
Puga in the west, Gangra in the north, Nyoma Rap in the east and Rupshu in the south are locales around Mahe.
Mahe is easily accessible on the road leading to Chumar from Rupshu. One can also approach Mahe from Tso Moriri via Puga Valley.
