Dranga



Placed at an altitude of 5,078 ft above sea level, Dranga is a small village in Doda District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is surrounded by Dudu in the west, Bhela in the north, Bhadarwah in the east and Kaplas in the south. Krishna Nag, also marked as Mari Nag, is a nearby attraction.

This place is on the ancient route which connected Kashmir with Lohara (modern Lohrin) and Parantosa (Poonch), passing through the Tosamaidan. The name of this ancient route was Karkota Dranga.

One can approach Dranga from Parbal and Kaplas, which are about 20 km apart in the western and southern directions respectively. Bus services are there from Kandhot towards this village.
