Chulati



Located at a height of 9,704 ft above sea level, Chulati is a small settlement in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 158 km from Srinagar and is to the south-west of Kargil.

Chulati is flanked by Zamshung in its west and Lotsun in the east. The northern and southern parts are bordered by Khargok and Goma. Short treks and hikes to upland villages can be undertaken from this region. Sankoo, Wakha Valley and Cave Monastery are the major tourist destinations within 30 km.

One can reach Chulati by catching buses or private vehicles from Kunore, Shergol and Lomba. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the JammuPathankot line.
