Located in the lap of a far off mountain surrounded by natural beauties, Brama Dung Chung Ani Gompa is one of the oldest nunneries in the Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh. This nunnery was established in 1595 by a Lama named Karchen Yeshi Gelek.
This gompa, located 12 km from Tawang, has about 45 nuns. Tezpur Airport and Rangapara North Railway Station in Assam are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
