Bio Engineering and Research Center (BERC), a non-profit non-governmental organization was established under the aegis of Rai University in New Delhi. The college offers under graduate and post graduate courses in bio technology, bio informatics, plant pathology and food technology. Diploma in pharmaceutical biotechnology and nanobiotechnology is also conducted. The main objective is to provide students with an opportunity to empower themselves in the field of bio technology. Students get ample opportunity to participate in the cultural and extra-curricular activities. Scholarships are also given on merit basis and there are centers all over India.
Airfield close to the city is Indira Gandhi International Airport.
