Indira Gandhi International Airport




Situated 15 km from the city, Indira Gandhi International Airport is a major gateway to India. The airport has two runways - the longest is 12,500 ft, lying at an elevation of 744 ft. The international terminal (Terminal II) accommodates approximately 35 airlines that fly to major cities of the world. The domestic airport, situated 8 km from the international terminal, has three terminals: Terminal IA, Terminal IB and the Domestic Arrival Terminal. Regular flights of Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Sahara Airlines operate from the domestic airport to major cities in India.

Free air-conditioned coach service transports passengers between the international terminal and the domestic terminal. Other facilities include banking and money exchange services, medical aid, an automatic flight information system, duty-free shops, a railway reservation counter, lounges, prepaid taxi service, assistance for limited-mobility passengers, and car rental service.
