Annamanada Laughter Club is located at Annamanata, a small village in Thrissur District of Kerala. It was founded in 2001 by P V Padmanabhan, the president of Mumbai West Laughter Club. According to the club members, the laughter exercise boosts their physical, mental, social and spiritual happiness.
The club practices laughter everyday for an hour. Around 30 men and 20 women participate regularly in the group laughing exercise. The exercise starts with a warm up by clapping their hands and a series of laugh. Among the exercise forms are Namaste Laughter and the Yawning Laughter, which is capable of driving away drowsiness.
Annamanata is 10 km south of Chalakudi, on Mala route.
