Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a Deemed University with its headquarters located on the side of a hill of the Western Ghats, about 20 km west of Coimbatore.
This is a multi-campus university with schools of engineering, medicine, business, journalism, arts and sciences. The university has four campuses at Amritapuri, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Kochi. Amrita School of Engineering (ASE), the Amrita School of Business (ASB) at Coimbatore, and the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) with its medical college, pharmacy college and nursing school at Kochi – these colleges constitute Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. It offers education in 14 disciplines including engineering, management and medicine.
