Maneybhanjan




Maneybhanjan, the gateway to the Sandakphu, is a tourist spot located on the Indo-Nepal border in Darjeeling District of West Bengal. It is about 32 km from Darjeeling.

Situated at an altitude of 6,600 ft above sea level, this is a small business area near Sukhia Pokhri. Maneybhanjan is the base camp for the trekkers to the Singalila range. The place offers a scenic view of the Mount Kanchenjunga. The view of illuminated Darjeeling town at night from Maneybhanjan is a unique experience. Maneybhanjan Temple and a monastery are other places of tourist interest.

Foreigners have to show their Passport and Visa at the Foreigners' Check Post at Maneybhanjan.

Maneybhanjan can be reached from Siliguri via Ghoom. Jeep services are available from Darjeeling.
