Shri Mannargudi Teerth



Shri Mannargudi Teerth is a Jain pilgrim site situated at Mannargudi, in Tiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu. The temple is dedicated to Mallinath - the 19th Jain tirthankar. The temple enshrines a copper colored idol of Bhagawan Mallinath in the Padmasana posture. Other deities worshipped include Dharmadevi, Saraswatidevi, Padmavatidevi and Jawalamalini.

Shri Mannargudi Teerth was built during the period of Chola dynasty in the 12th century.

Brahmotsavam is celebrated on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Vaisakha (April-May) every year.

Nidamangalam Railway Station, on the Thanjavur-Tiruvarur rail route, is the nearest railhead.
