The Leaning Temple in Huma is one of the wonders of the medieval period. It is situated on the left bank of the Mahanadi River and is about 28 km east of Sambalpur in Orissa.
Many enigmatic legends have been clustered around the construction of this temple. It is believed to have been built in the 17th century by Veer Baliyar Singh, the then king of Sambalpur. Lord Shiva in the form of Lord Vimaleshwar is the presiding deity here. An attraction is Kudo fish, which is believed to be the belonging of Lord Shiva. Special offerings are made to this fish.
A grand fair is held here on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.
