Nagdandi

Nagdandi is a pilgrim spot located on the way to Uma Nagari from Acchabal in Anantnag Disrict, Jammu and Kashmir. Nagdandi is 2 km from Acchabal. It is a hilly area where Swami Ashokananda meditated. The main attraction of the place is the Ramakrishnan Mahasammelan Ashram. A small temple for Thakur Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and a guest-house are also in Nagdandi.

This place is surrounded by thick pine trees and has many natural springs gushing with clear water. The place derived its name from the local word 'Nag', which in Kashmir valley means 'spring'.

By road, Nagdandi is easily accessible from Acchabal, which is about 8 km from Anantnag. The nearest airport is Srinagar Airport and the nearest railway station is at Jammu.
