Makum



Makum is one of the prominent towns in Tinsukia District of Assam. It is located about 525 km east of Guwahati.

Major attraction nearby is the Dibru-Saikhowa National Park, one of the nineteen biodiversity hotspots in the world. Excursions include tea gardens at Doomdooma and Digboi.

Nearest airport is at Dibrugarh. Makum Junction Railway Station is on the Tinsukia-Dangori line of North East Frontier Railways. National Highway 37 passes through Makum and National Highway 38 has its origin here.
