Positioned at a high altitude of 16,840 ft above sea level, Zagalnakchan is a charming town in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 234 km from Srinagar and 311 km from Jammu. Zagalnakchan lies to the north-east of Kargil.
Zagalnakchan is bounded by Goma Hanu in the west, Turtok in the north , Chalunka in the east and Narkial in the south.
