Placed at an altitude of 2,354 m above sea level, Yurod is a small village in Kargil District. It is around 111 km from Srinagar – the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Yurod is encircled by the neighboring places such as Inshan in the north, Anyar in the east and Nogam in the south.
