Yurbathak is a small settlement in the northern part of Kargil District. It is about 160 km from Srinagar – the capital of Jammu and Kashmir and is at an altitude of 10,807 ft above sea level. Beyama lies to the west of Yurbathak, Umbulung is to the north and Shogram to the east.
Yurbathak can be reached on the Bethang – Lalung road, which leads to Sachik. Private vehicles are available from Brok towards Yurbathak.
