Perched at a high altitude of about 4,555 m, Yelchang is a village in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is 8 km from Linshot and is near to the Sapphire mines. Photaksar and Rulagung are 18 km from here to the north and south.

Yelchang can be reached by road from Kargil and Leh.
