Founded by the India Inter-Continental Cultural Association, the Writers Club International (WCI) in Chandigarh is a non-profit literary organization. It was formed to bring creative poets and writers of the world together through cross-literary encounters presenting the pick of literature, art and culture of various regions and countries.
The club conducts various literary events, theater workshops, international conference on art, literature and culture; exhibitions, film and music shows in different parts of the country and abroad. The Writers Club International also takes part in cultural programs organized by other countries. Other activities include literary tours and inter-language translation services.
Membership is open to all creative poets and writers from any part of the world.
