Situated on the banks of the River Cauvery, Vengambur is a small settlement in Erode District, Tamil Nadu. Spanning over an area of 11 sq km, Vengambur is surrounded by Unjalur in the north, Kodumudi in the south, Pothanur in the east, Sivagiri in the north-west and Kollankoil in the west.
Nearby tourist spots are Kodumudi Temple, Chennimalai, Dharapuram and Government Museum at Karur.
C A Coimbatore Airport at Coimbatore is the nearest airport. Unjalur Railway Station serves Vengambur. Vengambur is easily accessed from Erode and Karur by road.
