Situated on the shores of river Kunti, Vellinezhi is one of the Pathinaalu Desam in Ottapalam taluk, Palakkad District. This hamlet in north Kerala is famous for Kathakali. The place is the abode of about 50 Kathakali artists. The pulse of this village beats in tune to the steps of Kathakali. There are two temples at Vellinezhi namely Pulikkal Sivaksethram and Srikrishna Kshethram. Kaanthaloor Vishnu Temple is a nearby temple.
Vellinezhi can be easily accessed from Ottapalam.
