Varahanagar



Situated on the bank of the Ganges, Varahanagar is a holy place where Chaitanya Mahaprabhu visited on his way to Puri from Navadvipa. This place also contains the Samadhi of Bhagavatacarya (Raghunatha), who translated the Srimad Bhagavatam with his commentary called Sri Krishna Prema Tarangini.

Varahanagar is about 5 km north of Kolkata.
