The Oriental Craft Shop, Delhi, managed by M and M Cottage Industries, specializes in exquisite Kashmir art. The most important of the selections are shawls, shamina, hand-knot carpets and handloom tweed. A range of decorative handicrafts and furniture are also available.
Popular of the shawls are Pashmina, Cashmere, wool and silk. Shamina, the costliest of the shawls, is soft and warm. The carpet selections include wool, silk, hand-made and Kashmiri carpets. The carpets adorned with chain stitch are unique in their color combination and design.
Among the decoratives are lampshades, jewelry boxes and paper machie items. The furniture are carved out in quality wood like walnut and teak, and some of them are bar cabinets, consoles, writing desks and smaller products such as bowls and trays.
