The Orchid Retreat offers lodgings in six cottages and a four roomed duplex building. The cottages and rooms host two adults in double bed or twin bed. Each room has an attached bathroom, shower with running hot and cold water and western style toilet facilities. Ceilings are of woven bamboo strips and most of the construction material used is bamboo, stone and mud plaster. The cottages have spacious verandahs. There are no television sets, telephones or inter-com in the cottages. The office in the main house offers e-mail and telephone facilities. A TV room is there in the main house. There is no room service. Meals are served in the dining hall of the main house. Early morning wake-up tea/coffee and evening tea are served in the cottages or in the garden.

The Orchid retreat is a 2 hrs drive away from Darjeeling and 3 hrs drive from Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.
