Durvasa Kshetra

Thattekere is a small village noted for its cultural and natural wealth. Located in Bangalore district, the major attraction of this village is the ancient Ranganathaswamy Temple, situated atop of a small hill at the fringe of the village.

This scenic place is also called Durvasa Kshetra, after sage Durvasas who installed the Ranganathaswamy idol and built a small temple.

Thattekere is not connected by public transport. The nearest bus point is in Solur village on National Highway 47 (Hassan-Mangalore Road). Accommodation is available in the temple complex with prior permission from the trustees or the priest.

Bangalore International Airport is the nearest airport. Bangalore Cantonment is the nearest major railway station.
