Taurenga is located in the southern parts of Raipur District in Chhattisgarh. It is about 65 km north-west of Deobhog.

Udanti Sanctuary and Sitanadi Wildlife Sanctuary are tourist destination in the neighborhood. Forest rest houses at Taurenga provide accommodation.
