This Institute is run by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The courses offered at this institute are a 3 year diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology and 1 year certificate courses in Front Office, Book keeping and House keeping, Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, and Bakery and Confectionary. It has a placement cell that achieved 100% placement record for the last 4 years. There is a modern library with more than 2,500 books in catering and related subjects. The facilities include four specially equipped training kitchen, one bakery, two specialty restaurants, two furnished guest rooms, seven classrooms, recreational sports and games, in-house laundry and EPABX system.
