Srirangam Srinivasarao (1910-1983), popularly known as Sri Sri, was born in Visakhapatnam on 2nd January, 1910. A pioneer of the progressive poetry in Telugu, his poetic works is depiction of contemporary issues. Mahaprasthanam (anthology) and Desa Charitralu are his renowned works. Sri Sri has also proved his talent in films by presenting several hit songs such as Hamsavale O Padava, Oogisaladenayya, and Premaye janana marana leela.
