It was started by the disciples of Sri Ramakrishna in 1975 with an objective to provide medical aid to poor patients. Focused on this aim, the trust conducts various medical camps in different parts of Karnataka. Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama runs a free eye hospital in Banashankari, Bangalore. All of the activities solely depend on the help of others.
