Sree Durga Temple, an ancient Devi temple, is situated around one km southeast of Valanchery town in Malappuram District. It is a highly revered temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is believed that the temple was built by a famous Namboothiri family thousands of years ago. Pushpanjali, vilakku mala, mala puja, kettu nira and abhishekam are the main offerings.

Valanchery town is 60 km far from Calicut Airport and 80 km from Cochin International airport. The nearest railway station is at Kuttipuram, at a distance of 10 km.
